River Point

History

River Point was incorporated in 1992 under Part IX of the Companies Act of Alberta as a private, non-profit facility. It is comprised of 159 private single homes that were built by Kensington Properties Corporation between 1992 and 1997. It was developed with the intention that the facilities be for the benefit of the residents of the Subdivision.

School boundaries can and do change. Therefore it is solely the responsibility of caregivers to contact the school board directly to confirm both of the following: Catchment areas (aka “attendance boundaries”) Transportation information (aka “yellow bus service”)

RIVER VALLEY LOCATION

River Point, is a privately-owned community bounded by the banks of the North Saskatchewan River and 137 Avenue in northeast Edmonton.

The main entrance is located on the South side of 137 Ave right around 23 street. River Point subdivision overlooks the river valley from the North side of the river and has easy stairway and trail access to the river valley and Hermitage Park with its beautiful walking/biking trails and off-leash area.

There are 2 ways to access the river valley:

  1. Head east from the main entrance past the pinkish Seniors Complex. On your right hand side is a multi-use trail that winds down into the valley. Part way down the trail is a stairway that shortcuts the winding road.
  2. From the back entrance into River Point head straight down 22 Street to 133 Ave. On your left hand side at the curve in the road is a trail that leads to a stairway into the valley.
